Introduction to Elizabethan Hair Project

Our first project for hair is based on the Elizabethan Era.  We're starting this project by researching Queen Elizabeth I and her lifestyle in this era.  I feel it is very important to do background research in order to fully understand the reasons why lifestyle was lived in a certain way.

I have studied this era before at my last college and it is one of favourites to research because there are so many symbolic references to find that mean many different things.  I also find the way hairstyles and make-up looks were created fascinating and unusual.  I love the colours that were used during this era and how they were portrayed through different status'.
